GAC Toyota is a Chinese automobile manufacturing company, established in 2004.

The company’s headquarters is located in Guangzhou, China. It is a joint venture between GAC Group and Toyota Motor Corporation, established to produce Toyota platform models for the Chinese market. The company was officially founded on September 1, 2004.

History

The company was established in 2004 under the name Guangzhou Toyota and began production in May 2006 with the Camry model (based on the Aurion). It started producing the Yaris in May 2008, the Highlander SUV in May 2009, the Camry Hybrid in April 2010, the E’Z in June 2011, and the Levin in July 2014. The company was renamed to GAC Toyota in December 2008.

GAC Toyota covers a total area of 1.87 million square meters, with a construction floor area of 440,000 square meters. As of June 2010, the company had more than 6,800 employees.

广汽丰田占地面积达187万平方米，建筑面积为44万平方米。截至2010年6月，公司拥有员工超过6800人。
